Interactive Journals
What is this intervention?
Interactive Journals can be any type of notebook where students can out their daily work and thoughts into, teachers collect this journal and respond back to their student thoughtfully. There are many benefits to using an interactive journal (Gil, 2016).
It helps with classroom management and organization.
Every lesson takes advantage of different learning styles.
Students have more ownership over their work.
Students are writing every day In class.

Direct Intervention to Tier
Creates personal relationship between the teacher and the student.
When strong relationships are created in the classroom students will feel more comfortable.
When students are comfortable in the classroom they are more likely to retain their learning.
How to use Intervention
You can use it digitally on google slides by creating a master notebook where students have access to it on their chrome-books
Or give students the option to have a physical copy of their Journals.
Set times during the day where students can free write in the mornings or prompt them throughout the day when they should be using their journals.
