Mentoring
Intervention
Mentoring provides a student with someone who they can trust and feel that they have their back, it improves their motivation and is a source of accountability, encouragement, support, and advocacy.
Direct Application to Tier 3
Can use this intervention for students who are unsuccessful academically or behaviorally and when other intervention seem to fail.
Can also be used for when a student who have little guidance and or support at home.
How to use Intervention
Once you have a voluntary mentor keep the student with the same one.
The mentor should try to do something fun or engaging with the student.
Mentors should be supportive, encouraging, and all the students.
Mentors only need to meet with a student once a week for 15-20 minutes
