Morning meetings are a great way to set a positive tone for the day and helps keep everyone focused on the same goals.
Direct application to Tier 1
All students in the class can participate
allows students to listen to be heard by their fellow classmates about a topic
Helps students build social and academic skills
How to use Intervention
Every morning before lessons start for the day gather students at the rug (or at desks) to create a closer fit community during the morning meeting.
Teachers can use this time to make announcements for the day, go over the calendar, and todays schedule.
CONSISTENCY IS KEY if you implement morning meetings into your classroom be consistent with having these meetings every morning.
Meetings should range between 10-20 minutes long
