Morning Meeting

Intervention

Morning meetings are a great way to set a positive tone for the day and helps keep everyone focused on the same goals.

Direct application to Tier 1

• All students in the class can participate

• allows students to listen to be heard by their fellow classmates about a topic

• Helps students build social and academic skills

How to use Intervention

• Every morning before lessons start for the day gather students at the rug (or at desks) to create a closer fit community during the morning meeting.

• Teachers can use this time to make announcements for the day, go over the calendar, and todays schedule.

• CONSISTENCY IS KEY if you implement morning meetings into your classroom be consistent with having these meetings every morning.

• Meetings should range between 10-20 minutes long
