Organizational Tools
Intervention
Organizational tools are strategies and resources that help students become more organized, this intervention implements structure for the student and improves student awareness of their belongings.
Direct application to Tier 2
When students exhibit poor organizational skills they benefit from this type of organized structure
Organizational tools teach students skills that can be implemented throughout their whole school career
How to use Intervention
Start with sorting have a different color folder given to the student for each class.
Provide a checklist for students of materials they may need and assignments that they need to have done.
Teach students how to utilize a school planner
Use visual reminders to facilitate organizational skills for example, color coded stickers or a visual checklist
schedule cleaning time where the student sets time at the end of the day to make sure that their desk is tidy and organized.
