Intervention

Social stories help teach routines, expectations, and behavioral standards in an alternative way by providing visuals of expected behavior in a story format.

Direct application to tier 2

• Social stories works very well with students who have autism or ADHD

• Provides personalized behavioral intervention

• Helps involve students in the learning process

How to use Intervention

• Outline the procedure and steps that the student needs reinforcement on

• For each step develop a simple sentence to explain the step

• Next to the sentence utilize a corresponding visual

• Review the social story with the student daily
